A collection of work for a group exhibition ‘Bound Together’. I have recently developed an interest in ancient book forms and the Nag Hammadi manuscripts, which were discovered in 1945. These were twelve leather-bound fragile books, buried in a sealed earthenware jar. They carried with them a richness of history, now uncovered.
Journeys that unfold and unravel, exposing traces and memories of something once hidden and not seen. A visible mark, a trace, evidence of an existence, communicates a former presence and a passage of time.
